Solid day on Thursday with some nice priced winners and plenty of decent place returns. We were agonisingly close to a huge 39/1 double but Ishikawa was just too strong for Exceedexpectations and he came home a close second. Our Martin Keighley double got off to a flyer with the Fox's Decree winning well under a powerful Popham drive at 8/1, for a smaller yard in fine fettle. I was actually more confident with the other selection, Sky Calling but very unfortunately he picked up a small injury on his way to the track which was a huge disappointment as the double would have paid out at 70/1+ should he have gone on to run and win.
But oh well, on to Saturday where there are some great cards to get stuck into. Please excuse the fact there are no write ups, you can find my Doncaster explanations from last week if you scroll far enough down on the blog. Just have not got the time today and nursing a terrible hangover, but the racing will certainly cheer me up a bit! Very good article and very useful. After Nameitwhatyoulike won a few weeks ago the Great St. Wilfrid Stakes at Ripon racecourse, is time to see which will be the Ripon Champion Two Yrs Old Trophy. Today, in the second day of tournament, race 3 is the most interesting. Silva Eclipse comes with the best racing form among the participants. I hope Mulrennan will be able to perform well and deliver an easy victory. However, Itlaaq is also in the race for a victory, having a 50% top 3 percentage in the its last 6 races.
